A massive thanks to everyone who stopped by our Indie Farmer pop up stand for a chat at the Smallholders Show 2015 last weekend. Everyone loved the bell tent we borrowed for our stand last year but we decided to go with a more practical ‘pop up’ gazebo stand this year, which made displaying the range of merchandise and products much easier.
We had lots of great feedback and people who bought t-shirts last year came back for more! New items this year included enamel mugs, caps and a few locally sourced handmade wooden products from traditional Sussex Trug maker in Herstmonceux and yarn from a sheep farmer and Indie Farmer contributor Michael Harding. But by far the most popular items on the stand was my mother’s elderflower cordial and rock cakes!
And finally a big thanks to family members who helped on the stand, the smallholder show organisers Alison and Colin Dixie. I’d also like to thank Craig from Blue Bird Press who sorted out some last minute caps, tees and other bits!
